September 2024 – I am super happy to announce that I received one of the ERC Starting Grants 2024 to study fundamental principles of neuronal repair after stroke. With my team I will examine how individual neurons in the active brain react to microstrokes and how the survival and rewiring of neurons can be enhanced to prevent cognitive decline after brain injury.
